The idea was to improve last mile commute from metro stations while also keeping personal bikes secure from theft and vandalism.
We conducted contextual inquiry across the city of Mumbai to find out the existing parking methods and how can we make them better.
We achieved this by proposing an automatic bike parking system by incorporating the PARKIS® vertical cycle stand (to save space) on a rail. User receives a unique QR code on phone linked to the assigned stand. Upon scanning the system rotates and gets his bike near the gate, allowing user to receive his bike and move on with his last mile journey.
